Which college courses do I have to take to become a clinical consultant for substance abuse treatment?

It may seem silly, but I'm looking for a career in this field. I do not know if I have to psychologists, nurses or others. I want to participate in substance abuse treatment, detoxification, methadone detoxification. It does not seem stupid to all human beings have always problems.you substance always works, and even better if you have a passion for this work. A nursing diploma four years is very versatile and give you options to work harder. I choose to care, unless you want to be exclusively a clinical psychologist, in this case, you need a doctorate in psychology or master's degree in social work. Best wishes. ps. You have to remove things when you do your internship clown! Course work in psychology, biology, chemistry, nursing, counseling and social work would also be a likely option. You should contact the center and do exactly what they are looking candidate in the recovery and grade.

How would I go about becoming a certified lactation consultant?

Just wondering? I'm in school now working on my terms for nursing education. Yes, I would say get your RN and work a few years in confinement, and perhaps an education in this area, I can be in the right direction if you are in Britain, but im guessing you are not. (By the way, spelling program, haha!) Good luck! You can go http://www.ilca.org/i4a/pages/index.cfm?pageid=3311 For more information on how to be and where you can test. Good luck! A nurse will certainly help. I want to become an IBCLC, too, but do not want to nurse route (also faster, I'm not particularly interested in) to make

Do you think being a nurse is a good job?

Have all said that I would be really good, but I think it's a waste of my skills I get A's & B's, and I would go to UNI to work out which one, and hopefully a consultant nurse (I had my way work up!) and obvs I had a dream to marry a doctor (my mom says you can not marry a nurse can be a doc) but I think I will be, but I do not know, because I think that stupid people do! I will practice on a visit, but I still prefer to work in journalism and is a presenter, but I have no idea what do you think about nursing, stupid people, because I'm smart (I am no idea, if you are so smart, why not a doctor or dentist? If a nurse is a tough career. I worked for 5 years in the profession, emotionally and physically demanding. until I got a job working in the health fair, I felt that I like to change my career and Studies Law Advantages: very rewarding emotionally .I know I help people every day are very stable. I know I have the security benefits of the good work and good wages. Cons: bad night shift sometimes working weekends and holidays emotionally, you see people at their most desperate and sick. It can be very painful. Can be very territorial, occupational physicians and nurses, while others can not sometimes be the friendliest people. Honestly, I agree with her mother not to become a nurse is to marry a doctor. The probability of this happening are slim anyway. In addition, there are many disadvantages of marrying a doctor. They are almost married to the job. There is so much fun. But Mary was a veterinarian. If you do not sincerely care for the heart and passion that used in the profession of the family. Burn quickly. Go for your dreams and leave behind their mothers .

Can you tell me what the difference btwn Paralegal, Legal Assistant, and LNC is?

LNC is a nurse attorney. What is the difference btwn these three professions like? I would like your opinion. Thank you usually LNC training in nursing and medical. He or she may have a legal framework, but most likely not trained as a paralegal is. LNC functions may only receive and consider the medical evidence and expert testimony. According to the American Bar Association and other organizations, the terms "legal assistant" and "legal assistant" has the same meaning. However, the term legal assistant is becoming the race, as the term "legal assistant" is sometimes used to refer to a "wizard" [Secretary] to a lawyer, in much the same way the term "assistant" has become a better "Secretary" in the business world. The customs vary around the United States would be beneficial for you to ask someone in the legal field in your area. A legal nurse consultant is usually a nurse who examined the case of damage to their "value." "The nurse understands all the medical jargon and terminology of medical records and the lawyer may be in layman terms, what damages, etc. and what it can mean that customers in the future. Sometimes LNC attorney received a certificate and can do other things too. Paralegal n strictest sense is a person who has either earned a paralegal certificate or an associate's or bachelor's degree as a paralegal. But there are many people out there who do not have those references, but the legal work for as long as they know much more than anyone else is still fresh out of school without experience. A legal assistant is someone who has little more than a secretary (which usually makes transcription and phone, calendar, etc.), things work out but do not want the legal research or things that would make a lawyer. The biggest difference between a legal assistant and a paralegal, is that the lawyer can charge his client for work, a legal assistant, but if a social worker, doing research, studies, etc., may make a caseworker at a reduced rate on its own .

4 week old refusing to nurse on one breast?

I have my son breastfed for 4 weeks with no problems. But in the last 2 days he refused to nurse on my left breast. It will suck a few times then pull Fussing and crying key. I dont have anything new on my skin. If I pump breast milk, I get a lot. The flow appears normal and does not seem a big disappointment that he could not handle swollowing. I have a lactation consultant, where I wait to call and gave birth to her back, but I wanted to see if another parent has this expirenced and knew anyway to get it properly marked. Thanks! I think it's a baby on one breast at each other for some strange reason prefer normal. My baby has always preferred a nurse on the right breast, but I must say that he never denied * * left. Now he is 6 months and my right breast is much larger than the left because it produces much more milk. Nuts! Try different positions and try to express some milk before bars, the breasts are soft enough (if you are swollen) and thus milk that is "right man" Also, try leaning forward or backward. Sit down reduces the number of milk comes out, and bowed it will come faster. It may be that your child is not as comfortable for some reason in that position on a page. Sometimes chiropractic can help, yes, there are chiropractors trained in infant formula adjustments. Skew! What can I do? . If your child prefers one side, or when supply or breast larger on one side http://www.kellymom.com/bf/concerns/mom/lopsided.html My small steps, which that.it is either have a preference for the passage of a chest or in my case, children, a preference for lying on a particular page. My son used to enjoy feeding on the refuse left and right. So I started keeping him in the football mode (where his body was wrapped around my right side, with her head on my right breast, as if he were a football, which I under the arm), which did the trick, and after he got a little older and larger, but that he did not remember where on his left hand on something I breastfeed my child, and do not mind some breast feed at all. but try and make another post. Maybe try some of this pump and try to feed him. It can be something that the milk may come out too fast or big ten pages or something. But talk to your child and your doctor can advise you on it. I did something like that, but he would not nurse both breast. So I would put it in my arms until he was half asleep and put him in the chest. I'm still doing that eight months later :-(((( I've tried so many things that was the only one that worked .

What to expect at 1st high risk consultant appointment?

There are 9 weeks 4 days pregnant with our second. Our oldest son is 5 years. We have had two miscarriages (Nov.06, 7 April). My husband and I are 24yo. After our last prenatal appointment, which took at least 11 tubes of blood from me, our OB nurse called us a few days later and gave us an appointment with a medical risk. Do not get into too many details that are a "little stuck on what to expect. Our date is this Friday, 19/10. Thanks. There is much information that can not help much. When I was pregnant I was at high risk because he had a blood clot in my 26 weeks due to a bleeding disorder. I went to see my doctor twice the risk when I left the hospital before the birth of my daughter. My doctor gave me more of ultrasound, most visits . Then I had another doctor for my blood once a week. It depends entirely on you are at risk. You could say almost anything more or it could test myself more visits, etc. It depends. I hope that everything works for you and you have a healthy baby to hold, I see a specialist on modern birth (high risk doc) for my entire pregnancy, and he gives me. On our first visit, he has a solid background information on my husband and me, get all the details on one of our family of high blood pressure to genetic defects (Down syndrome, muscular dystrophy) to cancer aneurysm. I suggest you both go through the stories (yours, his, your parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, brothers and sisters) before going to APPT so be sure to get everything he needs to know to remember. They also talked to us about some deep genetic counseling, because my uncle has muscular dystrophy and mental retardation. They will tell you about a number of tests available to you and let you know when they do, and asks if you want to do them (they give you time to think about it, it's more for you like this time). After that, he made a thorough pelvic exam and a group of prenatal If you have had these done and the results, you may not make them again. If you see something of the results of blood tests are suspicious, it is likely that more tests. Will probably see a good uultrasound heartbeat and determine a due date (there was one). Most people with high-risk documents make a u / s every visit (I loved that part!). After that, we said we could expect with this pregnancy because of my problem (congenital). They have the usual symptoms in me and made me feel good, and I know that you can call with questions. They were really fantastic! Just be prepared for a very deep history.

canadian embassy or immigration consultant?

I am a nurse in the Philippines and instant messaging planning to apply for permanent residence in Canada. I'm just not sure whether to go directly to the Canadian embassy and applied manually or use the assistance of an immigration consultant. I read the guide to respond to the application forms, but still I have no doubt and I do not know if there are people in the embassy, which will help me in this process. What should I do? Not all immigration consultants are scammers, but many, many of them. On the other hand, there is nothing you can do that you can not do it alone. I think I found the site of the Canadian Immigration Regulations, and saw all the instructions. The embassy may be able to help with some questions, however, the intention is that the site has everything you need to know. Avoid going to an immigration consultant. The Consulate of Canada will help - absolutely.

How long did it hurt to nurse?

Are exclusively breastfed my son a week and I wonder how long should I wait for my sore nipples. I use lanolin to keep skin conditioning, and saw the lactation consultant to confirm that it was a very good latch.I only seem to have sensitive skin and my nipples are very tight (especially when stopped on the first). Has anyone experienced this? When you reach the point where nursing care was not uncomfortable (painful to talk about anything!)? Thanks! give it a week to 10 days, you really see the difference! The first two weeks are the most difficult, but stick with it! I felt relieved because I was so swollen that the lock according to my kids was like instant relief. Congratulations on the baby and I hope the pain does not last long. I felt the warm compresses may help relieve pain. YES! It hurts for a week and a half, then stops. I have worked lanolin to t to use it, good luck! my first was about two weeks otherwise, it was all ummmm4 days? honey.oh hang in there and let your NIP some fresh air without lanolin It took me six weeks with my first and two with my second. Just hanging there, and know it will be better. Good luck. more than it had. We had cod and brought it back and forth. It was not very nice, and I was breastfeeding because of it. Hi, I had the same experience. People told me that if I had a good case, it would not hurt at all. But whatever bar I've had my sore nipples tender. There was also bleeding a few times and the poor little things often with a drop of blood oozed from the corner of his lips.Anyway to laugh, it took about a month for me. After that I no longer hurt or bleeding, etc. Also at 4 months, locking the first bit at times when feeding my son too eager (and hungry) were injured. Lanolin is very muddling. Like everything else, babies.it in a single phase and it will go. My baby was born on 3 February and the pain disappeared as if it were yesterday. Lanolin cream really helps nursing Palmer. You can get both at BabiesRUs. I would also like vitamin E and aloe better. I Vitamin E capsules, open them and mix with pure Aloe Vera Gel. You can mix it and put it on is by baby. It cuts the pain by half. And its safe for baby too. It is hard for a few days. You're almost there. You will not regret it! Hope it helps. for me it hurt and bled for full month.not, scare you, but it hurts more left than right, so I provide on this page anymore. BLV but I will soon if you keep trying to feed your baby so.Also lying side by side. It really helps to relax. The nipples to air dry after feeding. Wash them in hot water after each feeding. Lactation Consultants/ Professionaka How Long Should You Nurse a Baby?

Until they are what age? Thanks! Also, the statistics for health care? How many nursing mothers actually vs formula feed? And how long does the average mother nurse her child? You should want to nurse as long as you and your child this. AAP recommends breastfeeding for at least 1 year, and WHO recommends a minimum of 2 years. World Health Organization recommends at least until 2 years after breastfeeding. American Academy of Pediatrics recommends at least 1 year. 3 out of 4 women start breastfeeding. Here is a link that shows prices for each state. Unfortunately they are quite low. http://www.cdc.gov/breastfeeding/data/reportcard.htm I am not a lactation consultant, but I have now for over nine months health, and plan to wean itself Be My Baby Girl. A great site my lactation consultant gave me was www.kellymom.c com offers much information about BFing AAP, the World Health Organization and UNICEF recommend breastfeeding in the first half of the first year, when most food for the rest of the year and then as a mother and child the impression that the world is wide, the average age for weaning 2 1/2-4. In our area, very few women breastfeed exclusively for three more months and I think the average age for weaning is around 3 months. Most women begin breastfeeding in hospital, but, or say they maintain. I would leave the hospital less than 50% breastfeeding. How long do you * must * feed the baby until you *. For good health, tranquility and the recommendations of a year. Statistics really well after pockets region.even regions.so I can help you not know it, but reading this site that gives you good resources on human babies and natural detwean.h http://www. kathydettwyler.org / Parenting html Personally, I nursed my own, so they were more than 3 years old WHO recommends a minimum of 2 years to go as long as mother and child the desire of the AAP recommends at least 1 year to as long as mother and child wish (I've read rumors that match their recommendation). CDC has the same recommendations as AAP, they will turn them corresponds to the WHO. All organizations recommend exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months old. Breastfeeding never cease to be of benefit to both mother and child. The benefits are quantitative (the longer you do, the better). This is the CDC's report card for 2010: http://www.cdc.gov/breastfeeding/data/reportcard.htm.

Uk question- Have you seen a consultant or doctor in your pregnancy?

I've never seen my midwife and I have not seen a doctor or counselor. My midwife told me that I will not see a doctor until birth and still could not. Someone else in the same situation? It s true that midwives play the role? It s as if a nurse is to assume the role of a doctor. I only saw a doctor when I was in hospital.i Do not worry, the midwives are specially trained to care for you and your baby! Hey, you should consult a physician after each scan, you should discuss what happened in the ultrasound and you can explain what is happening with the baby, and check all is well with you. usually 12 weeks of pregnancy and any other evidence you have, if not bleeding or something happens, then a doctor to be there for you right away. A midwife is trained to handle pregnancies, most questions and deal with again no response to pregnancy out of his highly unlikely that a doctor with you during the birth of his usually only one midwife if you are at high risk if you are over 12 weeks and did not see your doctor scanning, you should ask yourself why. Good luck! In 37 weeks pregnant and have only seen my midwife, I see a doctor once, but she was too busy and sent instead of midwives. They are not "taking over the role." As long as there is no specific medical reason your pregnancy is "high risk" (I had high blood pressure and a big baby), so there is no reason to seek medical advice. Pregnancy is not a disease, "treatment" and the midwife took at least 3 years, especially during pregnancy and birth, were both from my midwife excellent. 90% of UK births, midwife-led. Midwives are vaginally as a skilled worker in the delivery of babies than doctors. Sometimes more, because they more often - TD again. No doubt non-British? Ok, I act different systems here and all I have written is absolutely true. Given that I have had two children in the UK Yep, it sounds normal. I went to my doctor when I first found out I was pregnant, but since then it just became a midwife I see. Congratulations on your pregnancy:) When I was pregnant in 1979, I saw the doctor once a month from three months pregnant, I saw a midwife and a physician hospital once a month from 3 months so I could see either a doctor or midwife to two weeks from three months before birth. Years later, when my daughter was pregnant, she looked at the doctor straight away and then a midwife and it was not until about 24 weeks, with the exception of the search at approximately 12 weeks. Nope, not seen my doctor. I am 9 weeks and have only seen my midwife once so far, I see her again after 16 weeks x

After becoming a nurse.is it possible to specialize and become a doctor, consultant or radiologist?

or some higher being in the continuum of care to a physician, radiologist or otherwise, you should go through a lot of extra training - with school, internships, etc. come to consultants at all levels, and some nurses do some counseling. No, you have to study and qualify for the year. Of course it is possible but it takes years to give you complete your studies. No, not specialization, but it can be done. You can use a Master in Nursing (MSN) and a nurse who is a doctor and a nurse in the corresponding area. Yes, you can be a consultant, and they make big money. With regard to the radiology department, you can work in radiology of the hospital as a nurse and working with radiologists in teamwork. I hope I have helped with care and remember there are endless possibilities! Best answer by Tari above. Tari is close, but has some weaknesses in their arguments. The term doctor is an abuse of the company for the job as a doctor. All doctors are physicians, but not all doctors are physicians who, for example, the degree of doctor and the doctor's name, but I'm not a doctor, I am a nurse, who was then my teachers as a nurse and then a PhD in health studies. I do not usually use the term in a medical clinic, but when my staff and patients call me doctor to make sure they realize that I am a nurse. But I also know a number of nurses who have received a BSN from the university and then decided to go to medical school and became a doctor or two after completing additional education. Tari Another mistake made was to tell a nurse who was a doctor. Have similar functions in preparing clinical, educational, but can be very different and the terms that the practice is different. All national parliaments currently graduating from the U.S. have at least a master's degree in nursing. The physician assistant programs vary in size associated with certain institutions and other Bachelor and Master in others there are also differences in the licensing of nurses and protected areas. A common difference is the theory that the treatment of patients. NP treat patients from the perspective of the patient as a whole, while protected areas are considered by the theory of disease. All things are possible, and there are few limits to what a person can do from the beginning as a nurse. The question is how much work is done to get where they want to be? Yes you can, but that would mean further study as theres more tests and papers to do, and the theory side of things so seriously consider their options before deciding, it is certainly possible, but as others have said, some of these careers require much education. Nurse to Lactation Consultant?

HELLO! I wonder if my husband and I have a daughter aged 1 year and I outside La Leche League for about7 month. I want to become a lactation consultant (if necessary). We are again moving to Michigan where I go to nursing school and trying to be a certified La Leche League. Is this a good way to be a lactation consultant? Any help and advice would be great! Thanks! The most common and most workers travel on the road to lactation consultants to become a nurse and then specialize. Hospitals generally do not hire people without medical training. Become a LLL Leader can have many SWS after certification. But you count your time with LLL LC-certification after the initial application for certification. The time is obviously the first good experience and be able to help many women to breastfeed, but not directly help you find a way to SC For more information, please see the FAQ International Lactation Consultant Association ( ILCA): http:/ / www.ilca.org/i4a/pages/index.cfm?pageid=3313 The International Board of Lactation Consultant exam (IBLCE) is a certification is http://www.iblce . org / Yes those skills to work well together. Certified Legal Nurse Consultant?

I am a RN and looking to start a part-time job. FNCC there is a demand? Or is this another piece of smoke? The class is not expensive if you do not work there. My sister is a nurse with a BSN and recently looked at this option. Our family is very friendly with one of the most important lawyers in Charlotte, North Carolina, and one of its specialties is medical malpractice. Have you ever heard the requests of taking $ 150 to $ 200 per hour.but what these courses do not tell you how little time is needed for a case. Note that our friend the lawyer with a practice "high turnover of 7 owns.he said he never had the need to FNCC full time, or knowledge of an attorney who is full time. He also said that rarely has need . He said that if the case is important enough, it can become a doctor to check about the same money.which has a lot more in the courts. I'm not sure if this is useful, but when my sister found out she did not go further. Yes, there is a demand, especially in the areas of personal injury, workers compensation and medical malpractice.

Can you file a complaint against a "Legal Nurse Consultant"?

They are required to be members of the bar? No, they are not required to be members of BAR, the only requirement for a nursing degree, and for them to obtain a legal nurse consultant certificate (which is a course of six days from what I hear). I think you should complain to the company they work for. In fact, legal nurse consultants is only a nurse, who requested the opinion on a case that using a lawyer who defends or presecuting case. You can complain all you want. not only in the local bar. non-members.

Decorator, how to break in, can you make a living? Painting, consultant, nurse, writer?

Help! I burned a bit in the nursing field. In the medical field for 26 years. sold've always loved to paint, some have mentioned. Very simple, abstract, funky stuff. I love interior design, painting Assoc. with furniture and art. Any ideas if I can make them live, even bad? And how to start or stop, and in this world of art? Although informal consultations on the love lives / dating with friends and friends of friends with success and others 'advice' situations which I love. How the hell can they turn to a life? I enjoy writing, problem solving, is very resourceful! Be interesting to a personal assistant, no? as a flea market / local art place has dignity. If all of your time, I hear very low income. My only child I took on my own, are in school. In addition, I recently injured my back, looking for a NSG . And the p-time jobs just to pay bills is a challenge. Almost all are very physical and the Dr. office does not hire RN's. For cheap!

how do you become a nurse consultant?

How long does it after uni to become a nurse consultant? What kind of care should I write? (This is for adults, children, mentally) and there is a special course I do, to go in? all sites, the Council would be helpful in the use and disclosure of a conversation, my god, you have the ambition I want! Nurse consultants are at the top of the tree, as consultants, PhD, and it takes years to make their way up the ladder. You will have gained much experience not to mention probably a second degree and a master's degree. I'd say we're talking at least 10 years if not 15! Mental health will be spent quickly to upgrade, but I'm not sure if this is the case currently. You have your big, then work to get work, and work harder. So you can write an adviser may be able to! Good luck! There are many different jobs that bears the title "nurse consultant." It would be the special position of the access you want to count. There are legal nurse consultant, they have a special training and testing, developed, but it can occur anywhere on your license will be preferred that you have experience as a nurse, so you have to do the background in caring for their convictions care. Some companies use the term nurse consultant for nurses to other nurses who seek advice and guidance to be named. This is usually an intermediate position in a large organization that home health care. In this case, the nurse consultant as much as a nursing supervisor at a permanent hospital. There is no specific training, and the type of treatment will be on the organization. There are times when some insurance companies are using nurses to advise patients and insurers about the process and patient care plans (similar to a case manager) and they called the nurse consultant. This has happened before with railroad workers benefits. In general, use a medical-surgical nurse, without additional training costs that Congress and other political consultants in nursing, counseling, and a pressure group in nursing aspects of the bills. Usually, these are nurses who have doctoral degrees in nursing care policy or health or administration, and possibly other courses in political science. Finally, there are few nurses who are working to provide advice on the treatment of patients in special care. These are usually the nurse specialist or nurse practitioner with at least one other master's degree and often a higher degree in the area in which they specialize. consultants have years of experience in clinical nursing and education, with an average of more than 15 and usually about 20 years in nursing .

How do you progress to nurse consultant?

I would like to know how much experience you need a consultant and if there are steps between the RMN and a consultant as team leader? Hard work:). A leader is not a consultant. The nurse consultant, I worked with all have extensive experience in the specialty, at least a master's degree (most have or are studying for doctorates) role is so they learn a teacher's position in a Uni, and they will be published. A leader is a front line manager.

Can a LPN become a legal nurse consultant?

Can an LPN with a legal nurse consultant. (LNA)? What the program offers a RN for 6 months? I know that after an LPN you can become an RN after 6 months all legitimate programs looking for an RN / BSN, and although some problems getting a job in the area. Sure, an LPN selecting a consultant, your job and profitability are dependent on nursing knowledge, legal knowledge, your geographic location, and your ability to own the market for law firms. There are a number of programs out there that will issue a certificate, but this is not a requirement for you to seek legal advice. I am not aware of some six months RN programs, although, as LPN, you can almost identical work as nurses in your workplace to do.
